DAEM S.A. offers a wide range of services, undertaking and implementing multi-tier projects, such as integrated information and technology system solutions for Municipalities, Agencies, and Organizations in Greece; the implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects in both the private and public sector, providing high-quality digital services; the participation in and management of European co-funded research programs; as well as the techno-economic maturation and management of NSRF-funded projects.
Its journey began 42 years ago as the computerization company of the Municipality of Athens, and it was a pioneer in the application of new information systems and technologies. Its transformation in 2008 into a Municipal Development Corporation (S.A.) marked its new dynamic strategy. Since then, it has broadened its horizons, expanding the use of information technology in municipal services and everyday transactions with citizens. At the same time, through responsible and well-documented proposals, it continues to chart a course of successful presence in Public Administration. It effectively connects citizens and city residents, as well as visitors, with the Municipality, strengthening their two-way communication (e.g., Citizens’ Service Centers – KEP, and the Athens Culture, Sports & Youth Organization – OPANDA), while systematically contributing to the digital convergence of the operational standards of the Municipality of Athens with those of other European cities.
DAEM S.A. constitutes the technological and digital arm of the Municipality of Athens and other Local Authorities, through which Local Authorities modernize their operations and infrastructures and effectively utilize European programs, in order to provide cutting-edge, modern services to their citizens.
Undertaking and implementing those projects that provide balanced and sustainable growth for the company—namely, projects that add practically useful know-how, capitalizable, reusable, and expandable, while at the same time benefiting the citizen and serving the long-term advancement of the interests and image of both the company and the Municipality as modern structures of local government.
